Hello! The title gives away this post! 10 interesting facts about Miamy! (Mia & Amy = Miamy). P.s - Sorry about the overload of pout's. P.p.s feel free to leave comments! :)


So, let's begin with ME.

10 interesting facts about Mia. 

10. I'm a short ass.

9. Iced Tea (peach) & Sweet Tea are welcome in my belly every day.

8. The White Stripes are my favorite band, ever.

7. Myself & Amy share an overwhelming urge to explore america!

6. My little sister is AWESOME, fact. P.s she is also called Amy.

5. I am uncontrollably in love with my schnauzer puppy, Alfie. He turned 1 in may '12 but he'll always be a little fuzzy pup.

4. My second home is Scarborough, North Yorkshire. 1 half of my family live there, i spent most summers there growing up & it's become my personal catharsis.

3. I often sit and watch youtubers! My favourite two are Grav3yard Girl & So Totally Vlog - so addictive!!

2. The first conversation I ever had with Amy (other half of Miamy) was comforting her after her hamster had died! (rip!)

1. I am a tv-series FANATIC. Honestly, I watch an embarassing amount of tv series'. I think my top 5 are True Blood, Fringe, Glee, 90210 aaandd Buffy. OR DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES. OR TWO BROKE GIRLS. AAH.

10. I dream of being a paramedic one day. I’m quite a fidget and I suppose the idea of each day being different really appeals to me, its also more practical. Since I’m not incredibly academic, it’d be fun!

9. I have a very addictive personality, so maybe the tattoo I got wasn’t a great idea considering that I liked it so much that I want an anchor on my wrist and a dreamcatcher on my bicep.

8. I have a thing for older men.  Simon Cowell has to be a particular favourite. It may also help their cause if they’re wearing a suit, because there is nothing hotter than a guy in a suit.

7. I have an OBSESSION with writing lists. I think its more of a control issue, I love having things written down for permanence more than anything. Also its really nice to look back at what you were thinking.

6. I’ve got a very realistic attitude to food and exercise. I believe that life’s too short to be on a diet 24/7 and I really resent people that try and force that idea.

5. I’ve got the travelbug. Wanderlust. Whatever you call it, I’ve got this weird obsession with airports and travel. Also a huge pull towards California. 

4. I often get compared to Miley Cyrus. This was more often when I had longer hair, however since she cut her hair short people tend to say it more! 

3. I love black and white photos, I think you capture the raw essence of a person when you take away the colour. Its like seeing into their soul!

2. I don't have any particular talents. I cant cook, once I tried making slutty brownies but forgot to put the egg in the pre-mixed recipe. However, my speciality is beans on toast with scrambled eggs with cheese ☺

1. I’m terrible at saving money. Which is why this Gap Year will probably turn into a Gap Decade before I can afford everything!

the title today is inspired by a quote i found whilst on pinterest- its a brilliant site if you're looking for inspiration/ideas/somewhere to put your thoughts/post photos.

so its coming to the end of an era; 

glee is finishing soon

desperate housewives is finished (btw i predicted the ending like 5 episodes before)

and our schooling is nearly complete.

it is some scary shit,

hopefully mia's off to Uni, but if she fucks it up she's more than welcome to come travelling with me (hint hint hint hint)

so what have i been up to recently?

• well a couple of weeks ago, i made failed at making slutty brownies.. thats where you have cookie dough, Oreos and brownie mix in one delicious moosh. nom. i was on FaceTime to Mia, wasn't paying attention and forgot to add a crucial egg to the recipe. what a nobend.
• i've been studying hard for my a2 exams which are coming up next month, just chillin' and revising hard, i keep changing my mind about the next few years but i think its just stress.. BUT ITS ALL GRAVY.
• i've started going on sun beds- now here we go, its always the same thing 'skin cancer' this and 'wrinkles' that.. well if i'm honest, i can definitely outweigh the negatives with a few personal positives. I went on ONE, for 5 minutes, not long at all.. i did go slightly red (as expected) but i also found a major change in my skin, its so much clearer now.. which helps with not having to wear any makeup for the next few weeks, secondly, i've been told i look so much more healthy with a tan- i've been so ill recently, horrible, and the vitamin D from the sun beds actually makes me feel better. Also, after having a spat with depression last year, the rays actually help boost the serotonin levels? or something like that chemically.. and I'm actually feeling happier.. so ner. 

so today i shared an ice lolly with my dog, it was gross, never ever again. 

PROM

this is my prom dress, i know a lot of people don't post photos of their dresses for fear of people seeing them before prom. but A- i look hideous.. B- the photos aren't great and C- not that many people read this anyway!

i did buy a clutch for this dress, but its not the one i wanted.. but i worked out that the money i shall be getting next month may mean a special treat for myself ;) IF ANYONES READING THIS THAT KNOWS WHAT IT IS IM SO HOPEFUL ITS UNREAL. 

& this is mia's dress, isn't she a beaut?!

we're both getting makeup done at M.A.C at 3.30&4, due to its reputation for being the best of the best, i may go for a classic red lippy and a sexy eye kinda look.. or more of a california katy perry look..

and we're getting our hair done at 11.45, which leaves like 3 hours in-between the appointments, enough time to go for drinks at 5&L or somewhere.. we may take our dresses and get changed between hair and makeup and just go straight to the pre-prom. we'll have to see! don't worry, photos will be in abundance for all to gawp at. (loljk)

i felt very inspired by Mias last post (Haul-elooyah or something) and I can't wait to go shopping and do my own. Believe me, i'm a girl that can definitely shop. Me and Mia have our own individual styles, i'm more androgynous/boring as fuck and she's more like 'indie' but her own kind of indie not the generic term. 

may go shopping on prom day, but i wouldn't wanna stress myself out too much now would i ;)

but for now, its 1.13am and I have english with mr taylor in about 7 hours and 15 minutes.

We recently decided that giving a blog a go seemed like quite a good idea!

the next few months should be pretty exciting for us;

 we've got some stewarding lined up. codename: egg and bacon.

we've got a promotional photoshoot in a studio in London which we got scouted for!

we've got reading festival coming up - if i ever get round to getting a ticket aha.

we've got prom! photos from that shall be in abundance.
